Quick experiment with a new type of clay….what’s he looking at?

Working on a few expressions for a book project. Thanks to Patty’s tip, I think I got the process down

I just finished up my first “boy specific” project and it was a little bit of a challenge since I didn’t have any reference material around the house for it, so I went to our local used book store and picked up all kinds of truck, plane and boat books for reference. Now…I begin work on a BIG book (it’s a large format book for a publishing company). I’m a little nervous since every spread has some major changes from the sketches I did, yet they don’t want to see revisions. Yikes! I have a lot of work to do and it’s due in 11 days!!

Thanks for everyone’s nice comments and emails. I appreciate it. I’m back into the swing of things and piled up with work (which is good). This year will be full of promotion, new clay work, more detailed digital work and writing. I’m excited to see how my career grows this year!

With the unexpected loss of my father-in-law, I’m taking a break to spend time with my family. Hope to be back soon.
