I’ve taken a bit of a blogging break due to so much work going on but I hope to get back in the swing of things again. Since this week’s Illustration Friday theme is “farm” I thought I’d show a bit of this piece I finished up last week for John Deere. It’s for a kid’s boot box packaging. It’s interesting to see how I’ve gotten different jobs from people seeing past farm scenes in my portfolio. I can contribute 3 jobs (all different clients) from one farm scene I illustrated a while back.

And here’s a couple of other farm illustration I’ve done:

Oh, and there’s this one too.
I’ve had loads of work over the summer and below is just a collage of some of the pieces I’ve done the last few month. I hope to slow down a little bit this fall, but we’ll see what happens. Knowing me I’ll take on every job. I have learned a few things about relaxing this summer though. I keep adding to my list, but these are on the top:
1. Watch a movie every night when you go to bed
2. Use this, this, or this in the shower daily to – I’ve become addicted to it and I’d plug it even if I wasn’t involved with the company!
3. Drink gallons and gallons of Iced Tea
4. Buy a boat and go out as often as you can. You literally think of nothing when you’re out on the water.

Well, back to sketches and finals for books this week….
